@SmartElectronic I’m still alive.
Unfortunately, any changes that involve the accounting department have been put on hold because of the Siemens acquisition of Supplyframe. The integration process is about to start, but I don’t have any timeline on when Tindie will be reviewed.
I know it’s frustrating. Thanks for your patience. As soon as we can make these live we will email all Tindie sellers and announce it on social media channels as well as here.
I know its on the list so I am not sure me adding my request also will help much, but if Tindie can integrate IOSS it would be really helpful. It is possible for individuals to register for an IOSS as either an account or a pre-pay option via Taximo, but I think its going to be a lot of extra work for sellers. We will also need to generate additional compex shipping rates for EU customers to re-coup the cost. Much better to be done centrally by Tindie, such that they can provide a guarantee to all EU Tindie customers that they wont be stuck with extra charges.
digression: Imagine SIEMENS loses interest in Tindie. And it goes public
With some sellers being able to purchase shares before it goes public
I vote for that
hihihi
I vote for that too
Yes I would be grateful for some progress on this and on the transferwise front…
I’d like to start expanding my business on Tindie but am on the fence as support on this forum is slow or non-existent. I appreciate that Tindie has a limited team but I am getting the impression the platform is slowly coming to its demise. Any updates would be gladly appreciated.
@TindieTeam @tindie @jasmineb @jasminebrackett
Cheers
do you have any official link to confirm this ?

Hello folks,
I’ve been waiting for a UK solution since January, and this EU issue may be even more challenging.
What are y’all doing? setting up an alternative store for these other regions on another platform? I can’t keep denying UK business, they were a good chunk of my business. I also don’t want to go through the arse-ache of sending a check to the UK every 3 months.
What platforms are a decent alternative, without overbearing admin?
Hello Everyone,
This is what I put in the recent seller update email:
"Unfortunately, we don’t have a timeframe of when tax handling capability will be rolled out on Tindie. Many areas of our parent company, Supplyframe’s are in review since the merger with Siemens in August. As one of Supplyframe’s brands, Tindie’s tax handling processes will be assessed, and changes will be made in due course.
We’ll update you as soon as we have more information to share. We apologize for any disruptions caused."
This frustratingly also applies to us being able to complete the wise.com integration for disbursements.
I know this is not the news you want to hear this Black Friday, and I apologize. Thank you for sticking with us so far.
Any updates on this? I currently have 70 requests to ship to Europe and probably many more who left instead of sending a shipping request.
Just to put this topic back in the top and ToDo list…one year now we are expecting TINDIE to solve this…
@jasminebrackett : any fresh news ?
more than one year this topic was open without bringing any solution…
is there still someone driving @TINDIE ?
Hi SmartElectronic,
We’ve haven’t forgotten about looking into providing our Buyers/Sellers with VAT solutions. Our product manager @jasminebrackett is still looking into seeing how we can provide all of our users with easier tax handling capabilities when using our marketplace. I understand that currently not having any options is frustrating but please understand that we are still working towards a solution.
Thank you for your patience and understanding,
What the status on Indie’s support of EU/UK VAT law compliance?
You could just open a store on Lectronz. It’s like Tindie but they have tools to support EU VAT compliance, including imports, and also deal with sales taxes everywhere else. You’ll find a few familiar Tindie sellers who have opened a second store there.
@jasminebrackett do we have any updates on if/when we’ll have IOSS support as it’s now been years since we needed IOSS and years since the Siemens acquisition of Supplyframe (and years of sellers like myself not selling to EU customers on Tindie)?
@8086net The Tindie team cannot make any changes on the finance side of Tindie until Supplyframe’s Accounting team give us the go-ahead. This includes ways to disperse, tax handling, and IOSS. Supplyframe is still working to integrate its other products with Siemens, so we are still waiting.
