Hi,
I’m experimenting with https://www.tindie.com/products/bong69/8-port-led-distro/, and potentially building a system comprising many of these. But I have a couple of questions:
-
To drive a 12v LED string, is there anything more to it than connecting the controller to 12v power? If I need to power inject, just tap from the same 12v PSU?
-
Is the board capable of driving long LED strings at 30fps? I understand that using WS2812B chips, the data rate is 800Kbps and this necessarily limits strings to about 1111 RGB or 830 RGBW LEDs. What I really mean is, if I connect up 8x1000 RGB LED strings, will it drive the output ports fast enough, and will it keep up with DDP? I can definitely send DDP packets fast enough.
Thanks
john
