Feature Request - Remove Shipping From Product Rating Calculation

Hello Everyone,

I’m guessing that most of the sellers may have noticed that our products’ ratings are directly displayed in google search.
However, I fail to see the relevance of taking into account the shipping rating into the product rating.

What do you think?

Hey @stephanelec, it seems that some of these issues are down to people expecting the items are shipped from your location, rather than your distributor.

We’re planning some shipping label and API improvements, which includes adding a separate ‘ships from’ to allow sellers to specify a different address than their home or office location.

This is it: this happens even if I explicitly mention where the item is
shipped from and how long shipping takes.
Regardless of this, don’t you agree that shipping isn’t relevant when
evaluating a device?

I’m guessing you’re currently rolling out the feature you just mentioned, as a new bug just appeared: the shipping exceptions are not working :confused:

Originally the rating was for the store, we’ve separated it out onto product level, so you’re right. We’ll see how we can make it clearer.

Can you send details to hello@tindie.com of the shipping exception issue you are seeing?
