Would it be possible to allow customers to update their shipping address on Backordered items? I had a customer message me asking me to ship to another address. My only issue is that I now have to keep track of this change whereas it would be nice if Tindie allowed them to update their information up until a certain point.
There isn’t anything wrong with that idea, but we haven’t had it requested as a feature. Usually what happens is they message support to change it.
I wonder if we added that, would more errors be created than fixed? I’m not sure but I’m open to hearing other thoughts. Whether it gets built or not depends upon everything else we have to do at the moment
If it happens a lot, then it seems like it’d be worth it. For the specific scenario of backordered but not yet stocked items I think this could be handy. That seems like the most likely situation in which an address might change before the item’s shipped.
