We have read that there are problems people face (from 2020-2021-2024) regarding integration with shipping providers. We can try to solve if there are enough people facing the issue. Please let us know your thoughts and also if you are interested in it, and your preferred list of shipping partners.
We are just planning to host it online so that everyone (irrespective of their tech background) will be able to use it like a normal website. Please also let us know a monthly volume that you need so that we can check if the provider lets us use that without limits.
I wish there was a clear distinction on the fields of the address, for example the first line with the second line or postal code, something it could be easily done with different colors per rows for example… as per integration I use a small macro for doing all this, I guess it will be impossible to tackle all the shipping solutions specially where most of the makers are just hobbist from many countries with very low volume
We also face issues at times when the contact numbers aren’t of the destination country. We currently use scripts as well. Just wanted to know if anyone wanted an online solution as well (esp the ones who aren’t good with scripts)
But then, it currently needs manual verification as sometimes, customers use UK contact number, but the shipping will be to US. We verify it manually once and then run scripts. But even then, the field confusion exists.
Yes, I contacted tindie, but nothing happened. I just wish some easy distinction on the website, 5 minutes of work on the rendered of the page.
Australia Post is pretty forward thinking and offer Shipping Integrations with the likes of eBay. I can go into the AusPost website and click “Import eBay Orders” and bam, they are all in there. And I’m pretty sure they are open to integrations with anyone. www.auspost.com.au
It it there for Tindie as well ?
No, doesn’t have a Tindie button, but there is the option for Bulk Import. When you select that it has another screen worth of info that has a link to a page that has a lot more detailed info.
