12v DC to dual rail 9v DC supply wanted

Bit of a long shot and it’s a bit specialist but…

I have an audio amp/headphone splitter that runs from an 18v wall wart. Inside the amp, the 18v AC is split into +9v, Ground and -9v DC supplies to feed to Op Amps.

It would be great to run the amp from a single 12v DC source. I have had it working fine from 2 x 9V batteries supplying the +9v, Ground and -9v rail direct so I guess I need somthing to convert my 12v DC source into the correct voltage dual rails?

12v DC in to + 9v and -9v out? Needs to handle 1A of current.

I know very little about power so is it even possible? Can anyone build it?

Matt

You could look at one of these

I have the 5V one and the output seems pretty clean and it runs nice and cool.

Perfect! I can run a couple of 9v regs after it and it will be ideal.

Thanks.
